South Africa meets Harlem

The South African Trade and Investment Mission, that toured the US Cities of, New York, Chicago and Atlanta from 11-19 June 2004, was hosted by the Global Trade and Technology Center in Harlem at the Alhambra Ballroom on Sunday.

The South Africans met and were introduced to the African American Business Community at the luncheon. At the conclusion of that meeting a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the GTTC and the Branding, Trade and Investment Mission.

Observing the ceremony are (left to right); NYC Councilman Robert Jackson, Her Excellency Barbara Masekela, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the US, Councilman Bill Perkins, Wendy Luhabe, Chairperson, International Marketing Council, and US Congressman Charles Rangel, who gave the keynote address of the luncheon.
