Rooftops Alive With Possibility

The first landmark to proudly don the "South Africa - Alive with Possibility" logo is the rooftop of the Sci Bono Discovery Centre

The International Marketing Council of South Africa (IMC) has launched an initiative to brand prominent landmarks in cities and towns with the Brand South Africa logo. The first landmark to proudly don the "South Africa - Alive with Possibility" logo is the rooftop of the Sci Bono Discovery Centre (formerly known as the Electric Workshop) in Newtown Cultural Precinct, central Johannesburg.

The Sci Bono Discovery Centre rooftop was identified as an ideal location, as the building forms part of the Johannesburg skyline and is in the heart of the urban renewal efforts by the city of Johannesburg. The colourful logo represents, in many ways, the positive, colourful and vibrant spirit of the city.

The "South Africa - Alive with Possibility" logo is visible from either direction of the M1 highway between Smit Street and the Crown Interchange.

This initiative is a national drive to source strategically-positioned, highly visible rooftops and walls that can project the "South Africa - Alive with Possibility" logo. As part of the national effort of making the marketing of the country everybody’s business, the International Marketing Council is calling on South Africans to volunteer or nominate suitable rooftops and walls around the country to be part of the initiative.
