President Zuma congratulates Charlize Theron, one of three recipients of the World Economic Forum's Crystal Awards, which recognise people who use their art to improve the world.

The other two laureates are Brazilian artist Vik Muniz and documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy from Pakistan.

Theron is the founder of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, and uses her fame and influence to draw attention to the HIV epidemic in South Africa and the continent. The foundation, which works in the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and the DRC, strives to prevent young people from contracting the disease. (Photo: GCIS)
