The Financial Times together with Brand South Africa will host various leaders from business, academia, government and civil society in an effort to explore the successes, challenges and opportunities that the green economy offers at the Durban ICC today, on December 2. Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Edna Molewa will deliver the keynote address as well as participate in the panel discussions. The panel will explore future solutions as well as engage and discuss green issues under the theme “Building A Green Economy”.
Panelists, from l to r: Bheki Sibiya, Parks Tau and Steve Lennon. Brand South Africa wishes to see these conversations translating into action on climate change. In turn, this will assist in improving South Africa’s image as a country that facilitates and leads debates on issues that impact the future sustainability, development and economy of the country in the first instance and the continent and beyond.
